She the Cat’s Mother

This is kind of an inside joke between Jane and I.

I was raised in America that it is rude to refer to someone by their name when they are sitting right next to you. I would always be told not talk about someone as if they are not in the room.

Well it is different over here. You must not refer to someone by she or he when they are in the room and especially if they are in the conversation. Jane is always telling me “she, the cat’s mother?”. This is because a male cat is a tom and a female cat is a she-cat.

I have tried to explain but in the end its easier to assimilate.

All the Best!
