Mildenhall Museum is right in the centre of town. It is very children friendly. They have a wide range of items on display from war paraphernalia to the Mildenhall Treasure.
The Mildenhall Treasure that is displayed here was discovered in 1943 by a ploughman. He found 34 Roman pieces in a field in Mildenahll.
You can also see the Lakenheath Warrior, his horse and his armour, dating back to 500 A.D.
There are hands on displays as well so they can play with the flint and fossils from prehistoric times.
They also have an area for the air race and the military units in the area.
A great place to take the children on a rainy day and looking for something to do and its free!
