Christmas Eve at King's College

Jane and I have been to the service for the past few years. Every year since 1918, King's College Choir has held A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols which is broadcasted all over the world. You can listen to this on BBC Radio 4 and watch it on BBC2 on Christmas Eve. The one shown on TV is recorded a few weeks earlier and the tickets are sold through separate channels.

It used to be you got there just before 8 am and wait in line to get in but now they operate on a ticketing system. They start handing out the tickets at 7 am as long as you have photo identification. They only hand out 500 tickets. The first year that they did this we were unable to get tickets for the first time. So I highly recommend going very early to get a place in line. This is not suitable for young children as it is recorded live.

Hope to see you there! All the Best!
